The number is increasing monthly.

(b) Films. The section is in close touch with Eagle-Lion Film

Co. and Gaumont-British News Reels and has distributed many

full length and short films to the theatres of which eight are

showing English films and news.

(c) Publicity. Pictures of the war and Britain's war effort have

been displayed in various parts of the Colony and a Reading Room has been opened where the attendance (mainly Chinese) has risen to over 400 daily. Posters have also been prepared and displayed.

d) Broadcasting. Talks and translations have been prepared for

Z.B.W. and Z. E.K. together with suitable propaganda.

REQUISITIONING & BILLETING.

The question of requisitioning, billeting and assessing property for housing of all Services now functions smoothly under a Quartering Commandant who maintains a list of all premises occupied by all Services, assesses rents payable on the 1941 figures, the records of which had fortunately been found in the Treasury. This section deals also with Hirings of furniture required for offices, clubs and hillets, and other chattels required for various purposes.
